In 2023 this bug hotel was displayed on the St Patrick’s Day parade float by Shannon Town Tidy Towns. It was built by Tony Walsh of Shannon Town Mens Shed who also installed an environmental sensor alongside it.
Tony has been keeping an eye on and repairing the bug hotel over the last year and upgraded the environmental sensor in Feb 2024.
